Namibian Proklaim returns with what appears to be a celebratory refresh in his sonic style, featuring his new single “Celebrate,” released on February 28, 2025. As with all of his other works, “Celebrate” is currently available for streaming on all major platforms worldwide including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal, and Amazon Music. Proklaim has stepped into the limelight once again after writing and performing the vocals for the song, which seems to be a genre and mood blend just as varied as its title suggests, as if made by a free spirit. Indeed, he does seem to have effortlessly adopted the persona of a one-man creative force.
With “Celebrate” Proklaim not only remains rooted in the tradition of Afrobeat where he emerged from, but also embraces lyrical hip-hop as a finisher, which makes the song stand out in today’s world of blended genres. The track’s intro features an instrument-only introduction brimming with wonderful northern African percussion, guitar, and everything else Afrobeat lovers adore. The song is distinctive, however, because of its literary ingredients and Proklaim's smooth, fully assured delivery. In a world filled with superficial party hooks, Proklaim manages to defy the odds here and embraces deeper introspective wordplay, merging joy with depth so rarely and gently.
Wojtek Majewski undertook the mixing of the track at Audio Art Namibia, and the track was recorded at Pen Pushaz Studios, a combination that proves potent. The production captures the accurate vibrancy and polish of the sound while still maintaining the raw energy that makes it feel alive. One of the most interesting aspects of the creative process for “celebrate” is Proklaim’s approach that starts with a freestyled adlib chorus followed by writing and recording the verses. The approach breathes the energy of an artist into the moment. This methodology results in the track possessing an organic, spontaneous flow that feels completely premeditated.
Proklaim has something to say, and it’s clear that he works hard for that message beyond merely positive vibes. The spirit is captured in the verses, and although carefree is the theme, they are more deeply thought out than imagined. Lines ripple with optimism, convincing listeners to step back, embrace the moment, and yes, celebrate. Proklaim’s offering is refreshingly authentic and optimistic, especially during a time where global music seems consumed with moody minimalism or over-polished pop tunes. There is absolutely no pretentiousness here just an aim of inspiring people to move, smile, and think simultaneously.
Despite the music, “Celebrate” maintains the philosophy of the song Proklaim, which is what truly makes it special. He often reminds the listeners to dream freely and act creatively, reinforcing the importance of tapping into the endless imagination we had as children. This is a message that adds another layer to the listening experience and goes beyond the song itself. “Celebrate” is more than just a song, it soothes the mind like nothing else, allowing listeners to rekindle their happiness and lifting their mood.
Sang throughout the city with the top down or heard in headphones while relaxing at home, “Celebrate” does not fail to provide a thought-provoking yet purely infectious experience. Proklaim has undoubtedly created a meaningful piece musically fulfilling. The beauty is that it not only sounds fantastic, but the message is incredibly thought-provoking as well. With more content on the way, it is evident that Proklaim is shaping his global-centered lane. Don’t forget to grab a stream of “Celebrate” on YouTube, Apple Music, and Spotify as well as all other global music platforms.
